Mack is one of the charter members of the Fish Club and he certainly lives up to the requirements of the club. His specialty is "Herring." John is another of the soldier boys who came back to the old stamping ground at the cessation of hostilities. He is a quiet lad, but the best-natured ever, and he will be missed by scores of friends when he leaves in June.

John William McKenzie, Sr. (February 25, 1896 - January 12, 1978) was born in LaGrange, Kentucky to William Edward McKenzie, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Hitt. McKenzie moved to Ashland, Kentucky in 1924. He practiced law there for over 50 years and was the senior partner in the Ashland firm of McKenzie, Wollery, and Sewell. He married Mary Lawless Gatewood.
