John G. Carlisle Spencer*, LL.B.
John G. Carlisle Spencer (October 10, 1892 - September 5, 1933) was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to William Spencer and Leone Ramsey. Spencer worked as a lawyer for an insurance agency in Chicago, Illinois after graduation. Spencer served during World War I and returned to Kentucky after he was discharged. Spencer then practiced law in Jackson, Kentucky with his brother Henry Spencer (UK Law Class of 1914). Spencer served as an United States Deputy Marshal in Jackson and as a deputy federal court clerk. He married Zuma Juanita Stone in 1919.
