Evert Mathis, LL.B.

Evert* Mathis (December 4, 1884 - October 26, 1930) was the son of Robert E. Lee Mathis and Sarah Emaline Chester. After graduation from the College of Law, Mathis practiced law in various firms in West Liberty, Kentucky. The last firm dissolved in 1917 and Mathis continued to practice solo. He also served as the police judge, county road engineer, and circuit judge in Morgan County. He married Mary Myrtle Gilliam in 1905.
