Wallace Atlee Gastineau, Sr. (February 26, 1890 - May 4, 1957) was born in Bell County, Kentucky to Joby Alvin Gastineau and Sarah Acton. Gastineau practiced law in Middlesboro after receiving his LL.B. in 1910. Gastineau married twice--his wives were Myrtle ? (m. between 1913-1917, d. 1923) and Lillian Morgan (m. 1921).
