A graduate student in the College of Arts and Science. In a dream of reformation, Spralding took one John Carroll Fears into his room and tried to reform him. The two roomed together for four months and the old story of a rotten apple in the basket was verified.

Marvin Clyde Spradling (January 6, 1886 - January 1974) was the son of Abraham Wallace Spradling and Rachel Jane Crain. Spradling first attended Kentucky Wesleyan College before graduating from the College of Law. Spradling moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he practiced law until his death in 1974. Spradling married Vira Harrison Moores in 1940. His stepson from this marriage, Edward Harrison Moores, attended law school at the University of Oklahoma and was admitted to the Oklahoma and Pennsylvania bars.
