Description
Adnpted pasture species and their availability ns good quality seed are essential to pasture improvement. Yunnan has the natural advantage to produce a lot of pasture seed, enhancing its pasture improvement programme. The main aspects of pasture seed production work conducted in recent years throughout the province are summarised. The key to the development of the pasture seed industry is the evaluation of adapted pasture species, the selection of suitable sites, good overall management of production, nnd correct stable policies of investing and pricing.
