Description
Soil phosphorus level is a limiting factor for successfull forage establishment which, in turn, determines pasture productivity. Recommendations of P fertilization should not only be based on the available PO4 but should consider the soil P04 buffer capacity and the P critical value for the crop to be grown (Novais and Kamprath, 1979). This study aimed at the determinations of P critical doses and levels for the establishment of four species of Brachiaria and four tropical legumes, in five soils.
