Description
The state cattle-breeding farm « Zarya Kommunisma » of the Moscow region is an example of efficient utilization of cultivated irrigated pastures. Here under the guidance of the scientists of the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy 961 hectares of irrigated pastures have been established (Andreev, 1988 ; Markin, 1987). 3500 dairy cows with the average 6001 kg milk yield per cow per year are being pastured.
