Description

An alfalfa collection was studied consisting of samples of breeding varieties from home and abroad as well as some wild species. Samples being of interest for breeding alfalfa varieties for grazing were chosen. On the basis of inter­specific and intraspecific hybridization and selection, the high-yielding hybrids B 49, B 98 and others were obtained, being highly pro­ductive and well suited for grazing.
