Description
Interspecific and intergeneric hybrids between species of Lolium and Festuca have been studied during three years with respect to fertility and vegetative growth (hybrid effect). Differences in both characters have been found to exist not only between F1 hybrids from several cross combinations but also between the hybrids from one and the same cross combinations. The material examined contains a number of cross combinations showing a relatively high hybrid effect for vegetative growth.
