Abstract
Fruits of labor are the triumphs of determination and resiliency. We often place ourselves in the world by referencing those around us. Or those beyond us. When I found myself disoriented, it was looking inward that gained my footing. These friends of mine are all a little fruity in their own way. If you pause and take it in, they’ll remind you that it’s not a label or image that we share, but a strength to love the way we differ. The Fruits of our Labor works to facilitate these connections through shared experiences of creativity. It examines Queer lifestyle through a lens of self-expression, combining short fiction pieces with collaborative artistic conversations. Our readers may feel inspired to do the same.
