Abstract
Seeing Yellow is a short story collection of stand-alone pieces, linked by place and character. Themes include loss, grief, belonging, status, ageing and loneliness. Characters are primarily adult women from the baby boomers era. Erma Bombeck, Aimee Bender and Bret Anthony Johnston influenced the inclusion of humor and absurdity. Toni Morrison influenced the testing of reality.
