Abstract

This collection of six short stories reckons the individual lives of Midwestern Americans to the realities of political contemporaneity. Each story implements elements from the craft of fiction to realize authentic psychological and interpersonal conflicts within liminal communities. Fiction is used here to explore the aesthetic value of language in conveying distinctive human experience.
