Description
Fourteen nut-producing wild peanut (Arachis spp,) accessions were evaluated in single-plant plots and in ranchers' fields under grazing. Transplants were used for initial and some secondary planting, Agronomic characteristics and persistence were measured. The cv. Amarillo (4222) and a selection previously evaluated (2273) were used as controls. Plant yield, leaf and stem weights, nut production and other attributes varied among the accessions. Accession 2273 was one of the earliest and most prolific flowering and nut producers, while 4222 was the most persistent under initial grazing evaluation,
