Description
The pasture established by the new ploughless method produces lower levels of herbages in the first year (Sugiura et al., 1987). It is supposed that crushed wood fragments (CWF) arc easily dried in the seedbeds (Sugiura et al., 1986 ; Suzuki et al., 1986). We investigated the effects of the CWF and the water supplying character of the soils on the initial growth of the herbages in the seedbeds.
