Description
For the final semester of my MSLS degree, I have been participating in a practicum at the library of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences at the University of Nairobi in Kenya. The goals of my practicum were to gain experience in an academic library and to conduct an information literacy project. During the course of my practicum, I learned the value of open access and nonprofit research databases to the students and faculty of the UoN. We use the DOAJ and Research4Life as major sources of journal articles in a resource-scarce environment.
