Speaker's Bio
Leila W. Salisbury was named the director of the University Press of Kentucky (UPK) in 2016. Prior to her appointment, she was the director of the University Press of Mississippi from 2008-2016 and was marketing director of the University Press of Kentucky. At UPK, she is responsible for the overall direction and management of the scholarly publishing operation, its editorial focus, fundraising, institutional relationships and collaborative projects, and work with the UK Libraries on programming and initiatives of benefit to the university and scholarly community. She is active in the Association of American University Presses and writes a regular column for the library publication Against the Grain.
