Description
Field grass offers favourable conditions for the continuous application of slurry. Its effect is mainly based on its content of soluble N. In summer, sprinkling is preferred to spreading with bulk lorries. Slurry doses of up to 200 kg N/ha do not reveal any significant aftereffects as regards the regrowths. A combination of field grass and a large amount of slurry results in an accumulation of C and N in the soil, which has a significant after-effect after fallowing.
