Dean of the Graduate School: Jeannine Blackwell

The University of Kentucky Graduate School offers advanced study in 90 program areas—doctoral degrees in 61 fields, master’s degrees in 120 fields, and 5 specialist degrees. More than 5,000 graduate students are enrolled in these programs annually. The Graduate School employs a variety of methods, both traditional and non-traditional, in offering top level programs designed to meet the needs of a diverse and inclusive student body. Our programs span the breadth of graduate education, from practice-oriented master’s programs that prepare students for leadership roles in a great number of settings, to research focused Ph D programs that develop the next generation of scholars.

UK offers all students submitting a thesis or dissertation the option of completing an electronic document (an ETD) instead of the traditional bound paper volume. The ETD satisfies all requirements of the Graduate School. See the Graduate School “Preparation of Theses and Dissertations” for complete information on creating ETDs.
