The Rural Cancer Prevention Center (RCPC) is one of the 26 Prevention Research Centers across the US funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is a planned collaboration of community members, public health professionals, and researchers designed to reduce the health disparities associated with cervical cancer, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer among residents of the Kentucky River Health District and other rural communities in Appalachia.
