Oscar William Sammons (September 27, 1908 - June 2, 1985) was born in Greenup, Kentucky to Clarence Sammons and Nora Counts. Sammons practiced law in Lewis and Greenup Counties. He was a partner in the law firm of McBrayer McGinnis & Leslie and he served as Greenup County Attorney. Sammons was a circuit judge for the 20th Judicial District for over 20 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Sammons married Ann Michael in 1934.
