Anthony Burnam Combs*, LL.B.
Anthony Burnam Combs (March 22, 1890 - September 14, 1954) was born in Smithsboro, Kentucky to John Wesley Combs and Clementine Cody. Combs received his B.A. degree from Transylvania College prior to attending the University of Kentucky. Combs briefly practiced law in Hindman, Kentucky after graduation. He then moved to Prestonsburg, Kentucky where he worked as a corporation lawyer for over 35 years. Combs married Hazel Gardner in 1923. Their son, Cleon Kilmer Combs, graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1946.
