Oswald Fine Arts First Place: It Can't Rain All the Time
Abstract
This project is about a journey through depression. It's about the ups and downs and the never- ending struggle that people with this disease face. They are portraits taken at very strong moments of emotion, whether through a breakdown, an anxiety attack, or even just a temporary moment of joy. I have layered them with writings that I've done at certain times that I've scanned and printed on transparencies. Over that, I've printed the image a second time, on transparency, and have destroyed them in a certain way that's reflective of emotional turmoil.
