Description

In attempting to formulate management rules for perennial ryegrass/white clover pastures it is important to try to distinguish between changes in clover content which result from management, and those which result from the different responses of grass and clover to the changing environment. This paper discusses the similarities and differences between the response patterns of components of growth in grass and clover and attempts to show how the differences between the two species my be exploited to control the balance between them.
