Description
For the same digestibility cell wall contents of legumes and grasses differ ; their histological structure is not the same and this may account for the differences in rumen degradation. We studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) the histological structure of these plants with regard to stages of maturity, and their kinetic degradation in the rumen.
