Description

The UK market for seed of white clover (Trifolium repens L.) cultivars is in the order of 1,000 t within an EEC total of some 3,500 t. Although high yields of around 500 kg ha-1 can be achieved, yields are extremely variable (Hides, Lewis and Marshall, 1984) and this may be due in part to pathogenic attack. The results reported here are of a field experiment where diseases and pests were controlled by pesticide applications in plots grown under two simulated seed production managements.
