Description
Rangelands of Lesotho are primarily located in the "sour veld " region of southern Africa. Percentagewise, the lands are cxtc11sive and furnish large quantities of forage for various type, of grazing animals. Detailed information upon nutritive qua I I ty of the native grasses would be of major benefit to assist in planning rotation grazing programs during critical periods or the year. In addition, there is a need for information of the nutrttional quality of introduced grasses to Lesotho's rangelands.
