This small (17 cm) illuminated manuscript of the Qu’ran was designed to be carried as evidenced by the highly decorated case with carrying strap. The featured pages include the opening chapter of the Qu’ran. This manuscript was acquired by UK Libraries in the 1960s as part of a larger gift by Phillip Sang, Chicago business man and avid book and manuscript collector.
